I didn't. No, I couldn't have. It's been so long... do you know how I've missed you? And now you're back... June 10, 2000--To everyone who has e-mailed on account of Kashmir, thank you soooooooo much for showing how you care. I really appreciated it! I'd just like to tell you that my new site is up at http://silverweed.8m.com/. The part of the site dedicated to musicals and CATS is not yet up, but you might want to browse around and bookmark it for when the CATS page goes up. I am still in the process of making it, and if there's anything you wish to be included there, please let me know. In the meantime, if any of you would care for a challenge, I've decided to hold a small contest. No prize of interest really, just credit, link, award, etc., but you might be interested. I challenge you to write a fanfic which documents the death of Kashmir and the introduction of my new character Ahleen. Ahleen is a female kitten, but other details are entirely up to you, as is the cause of Kashmir's death. Otherwise, no rules. The winner's fic will be regarded as the official history of the two, but I will post all entries. C-ya around Silverweed!
*Important* On April 10th, 2000, the absolute best cat in the whole entire world and then some had to be put to sleep due to extreme kidney failure. I lived with Kashmir all my life (heck, she predated me), and miss her like you wouldn't believe. Kashmir was a purebred Burmese, but not show quality because of her yellow-green eyes. We could care less, because she was also the most cuddly cat ever, purring at a moments notice and always happy to see you. Therefore, in honor and memory of Kashmir, this site is officially closing, and I forever relinquish the name of Kashmir to its original owner. A new site, under a new name, may be opening soon (so no, you can't use the name 'Past the Jellicle Moon'), but this is no longer the home of me as Kashmir. Please remember Kashmir in your prayers, even though you didn't know her, because I assure you she was the best in the world and then some. A true one in a million. For the first and last time alone, A great big HELLO to all you wonderful Cats lovers out there! 'Tis me, the powerful, the pleasurable, the indestructible Mushu! *blush* I mean, hi, my name's Kashmir. This is my tribute to Cats the musical, and what better way to show it than with fanfic and more? That's a rhetorical question, by the way. Not just my fan-fic. Yours, too! There are no requirements whatsoever except that your fic must at least PG-13, and if it's more than G, please write a little note with a warning at the beginning. By the way... I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!! I know, that long, without-warning sabbatical was cruel, but I feel better. Count yourself lucky. I was going to wait longer, but when ETU shut down, I felt it was my duty to open up. I love redecorating. :) Oh, and I made all graphics, pics, and what-not all by my lonesome. If something on this page looks just like something on yours, all I can say is: what a coinkidink! Please do not e-mail me (or anyone else, for that matter) saying that their story is all wrong and this is how it's supposed to be. Everyone has different opinions about how the cats act - and interact. There have been (many) times I have disagreed with other peoples' stories, but I kept my mouth shut and just wrote my own fanfic, my way. So please keep yours shut, too, and write your own fanfic! Then send it to me. :-) One last thing... This page is simply for the enjoyment of other "Cats" fans, and is not meant to infringe on any copyrights or other things... Blah, blah, blah. Yeah, you get the point. Let the fun begin! P.S. You are welcome to use any of my stories (any story that says "By Kashmir") whenever, and post my e-mail, too. However, I ask you please e-mail me before doing so, just so I know where it's going. :-) My stories usually connect to each other, and I am building my stories around "Beyond the Junkyard."
