Summary: A Wizard of Oz parody by one of my bestest buds. 'Lise: I titled it myself; don't like it, I'll change it.
It was a beautiful spring day, Victoria was in the junkyard and was
happily walking along the lid of a narrow trashcan. Munkustrap
walked by and Victoria lost her balance, falling off, and landing on
him. "Victoria! Stop getting in the way of everything! We are trying
to plot agnist Macavity here!!" Victoria shrunk back and looked at
Misto who shrugged, "I'm to scared to dooo thisss!" Tumble shivered.
Alonzo smiled, "You're such a coward!" He said and gave him a hard
shove. "You have no heart Lonz..." Munkustrap muttered. Victoria
looked at Misto with a frown. "What's wrong 'Stoff?" She asked.
Misto sighed, "We'll their all counting on me to make a plan agnist
Macavity, some brillant idea that will defeat him forever. I just
can't
hink of anyhting, it's liek I don't have a brain!" Victoria nuzzled
him
and skipped off, to find Jellylorum. She did and it seemed she wa in
a bad mood too. "Victoria, you have got to stop chasing birds in Mrs.
Yellowwits yard!!" "But mother I..." "No buts young lady, now
march!" Victoria hung her head and sighed as she crawled itno a
pipe. "Threr must be somewhere where I can be useful..." She was
intterupted by a loud crash of thunder. Wind whipped by the pipe
and she smiled as an idea hit her, "I know! I'll run away and try to
find the place!" She took one more look at the junkyard and dashed
off.
She ran with her life until she came to a lake, she peered in and
sighed as she saw her own reflection staring back, with the same,
bored look on her face. Then the image of her face grew fuzzy as the
wind began to blow harder. She looked around and saw a mena faced
woman walking across the street she glanced at Victoria with a
mena looked and grabbed her by the scruff. "If you, one more time,
chase those beautiful birds in my yard one more time, I will
personally return you to your owners!" She dropped her on the
ground hard and rode off on her bicycle.
Victoria looked around, a storm was coming, she needed to get back
to the junkyard and quick! So she took off, but when she got there
the place was bare. "They didn't even worry about where I was!"
Victoria yelled, but her soft voice was carried away by the strong
wind. She shut her eyes to hold the tears back and moved slowly
due to the force of the wind. She saw a pipe and qucikly dove into
it, hitting her head on the top she collasped and mutter, "Ow..."
Then she looked outside the pipe, the wind whipped passed and
flying by it went Alonzo, Munkustrap, Tumblebrutus, and
Mistoffeless. They appeared to be drawing a map of Macavity's lair,
they loked up and waved to Victoria who's jaw dropped, they passed
and Mrs. Yellowwits came riding by on her bicycle, which turned
into a broom, and Mrs. Yellowwits into a witch! She cackled evily
and flew past, the wind blew even harder and the pipe disconnected
itself form the ground! Victoria watched horrifed as she was tossed
into the twister and thrown about, it was loud and frightening,
Victoria covered her eyes with her paws and curled up tightly.
Suddenly there was a loud *THUMP!* Then, everything grew awfully
quiet. All Vici could hear was the loud beating of her heart. She
slolwly opened her emerald green eyes and stared in amazment at
the place before her. It was so colorful you could swear you were
somewhere over the rainbow. It looked like a little town! With small
houses, and little trees, whcih were pink and blue. Victoria blinked
and stepped otu of the pipe. "H...hello?" She called. No awnser. "My
goodness, I don't think I'm in the Junkyard anymore!" She brethed.
A tiny speck on the horzion seemed to be getting closer and closer
to the white jellicle, who froze in her place. It looked to be a large
pink bubble of some sort, it rested in front of her and popped, inside
was a beautiful cat who had a crown and a large smile. "Hello, I'm
Glinda. Are you a good witch, are a bad witch?" Victoria was
puzzled, "Oh, you see, I'm not a witch all. I'm Victoria. There was a
large storm and a tornado came and swept me up, adn here I am!"
"So, are you a good witch or a bad witch?" "But I already told you,
I'm not a witch at all, are you?" "Of course! I'm Glinda the good
witch of the east." "You're a wicth, but I thought all witches were
ugly and green adn freakie and..." "Oh, no, those are only bad
witches. Like the one you just killed." "No! I didn't kill anything!"
"Yes, you did." Glinda waved her wond at the pipe, and under it were
two feet, sticking out. Victoria gasped, "Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't
mean to, you see, I was jsut..." *Giggles* "What was that?" Glinda
laughed. "Those were the minicats, they are laughing becouse you've
killed the bad witch of the south, the sister to the wicked witch of
the west." *Giggles* "They're hiding form her becouse she torments
them, but now they will come out beecouse there is nothing to be
afraid of." Little cats emerged form the bushes and begind the trees,
they wore funny little clothes that loked like they were made form
flowers and tree leaves. They all had smiling faces and looked
friendly enough. "Hello!" Said a little girl one in a small
high-pitched voice. Victoria smiled fondly a the little cat. "Hello!"
She awnsered, just as happily back. "On behalf of all minicats, I'd
like to thank you for killing the horrible, meanie, old haggie..." The
little kitten got a glar form another cat, probley her mother,
Victoria figured. "Anyway, what I mean to say is,
"Thank you for enilalating her"
"Killing her,"
"Smashing her"
"For life for us was really hard"
"Thanks for killing that spooney bard!"
Victoria laughed at the little song and smiled as the kitten and
others handed her flowers and gifts of baked bread and cloth, ribbons,
and personal possestions. "Thank you all so much. But I would really
like to go home now, to the junkyard, were I belong..." "Oh, I don't
think we could get you back home dear, but Ii do know someone who
can!" Glinda said with a warm smile. Victoria looked hopeful, "Really,
who?" "The great wizard of Oz." The little kitten spoke up. "How do I
get to this Oz?" Vici asked. Glida smiled and waved a hand, "Just
follow the yellow brick road..." For the first time Victoria relized
there was a long, winding yellow brick road curling in the middle of
the town. She smiled, but Glinda stopped her, "But, first, you must
take the ruby collar, of the bad witch of the south. They will protect
you on your jurney, form the wickied witch of the west." Victoria felt
her neck, and on it was a beautiful ruby decked collar. "Thank you
very much. I best be off!" She stepped on the brick road, and followed
the spirling path, until it unwound and seemed to go on forever. SAHe
breathed in deeply, "I guess I have a long jurney ahead of me..." She
mutter, and hummed a song to help her get along. "I'm off to see the
wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz."
